Materials

Advanced materials, can dramatically improve both the production process as well as end-product quality and performance. At ABC Group's Salflex Polymers operation, we custom compound with high performance commodity resins. We have developed many proprietary compounds to meet specific product design, performance and quality needs for injection, extrusion or blow molding processes. These include: 

  • Thermoplastic Elastomers (TPE)
    -Thermoplastic Vulcanizate (TPV)
    -Thermoplastic Polyolefins (TPO & TES)
  • Filled or Reinforced Polyolefins
    -Talc or Mica in HDPE
    -Calcium Carbonate, Glass-fibre, Mica, Talc or mixtures in PP
  • Pre-colored versions of many of the above
  • Functional concentrates, i.e.; anti-oxidants, process aids, etc.
  

Many of these materials provide an effective and competitive alternative to both metals and engineered plastics. This QS 9000 registered facility works through our Research and Development resources on custom polymer alloys and blends for new opportunities.
